 A Stanley Cup Run?

By: Madeline Reid

The Dallas Stars have had a slow but promising start to the 2021-22 season. They had a strong start with a season-opening 3-2 win in overtime over the NY Rangers, the Stars had a strong start. Over the next few games, the Stars struggled without top defenseman John Klingberg and forwards; Jason Robertson and Blake Comeau. The loss of these players led to losses in Boston and Ottawa. Their home opener was a success beating the LA Kings 3-2. The Stars struggle to keep the momentum going when entering and playing in the second period. Many of their losses have come from goals against them in the second period. There are many successful returning top scorers such as Roope Hintz, Tyler Seguin, Jason Robertson, and Joe Pavelski. A stacked defense that includes Miro Heiskanen, John Klingberg, and Esa Lindell. New promising players such as Michael Raffl, Luke Glendenning, and Thomas Harley are starting to heat up, it would be no surprise if the Stars finally get the momentum going for another Stanley Cup run.
