Who have you developed a good relationship with?  

  • Mr. Glass – we like to connect on social studies and other topics as well (friendship)  

  • Ms. Montrois is a great resource/professional relationship at W-C. 

What grade do you teach?  

  • I teach 8th grade and 10th grade.  

How tall are you?  

  • I am 6 feet.  

Do you play any sports outside of school?  

I am in a kickball league.   

  • Kickball league 

  • Pickup basketball  

  • High school – football (linebacker and receiver) and basketball  

  • 1 year of lacrosse  

  • College – basketball, lots of intermural  

Who is your favorite professional sports figure?  

  • Josh Allen, Go Bills! 

  • Got to see Allen in person at a draft party.  

 

What habits does Mr. Kerwin enjoy? He likes to stay active, work out, weightlift, and watch television.  

Favorite Food – Mr. Kerwin’s favorite food is pizza and steak. 

Favorite shoe – Mr. Kerwin’s favorite sneaker brand are Jordans. 

Favorite Books – Mr. Kerwin’s favorite book is Unbroken, It’s a book about WWII survival on a raft and inside of a Japanese POW. 

Fav Tv Show – Mr. Kerwin’s favorite tv shows are Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Star Wars, and Mad Max.

  A Stanley Cup Run?    By: Madeline Reid    The Dallas Stars have had a slow but promising start to the 2021-22 season. They had a strong start with a season-opening 3-2 win in overtime over the NY Rangers, the Stars had a strong start. Over the next few games, the Stars struggled without top defenseman John Klingberg and forwards; Jason Robertson and Blake Comeau. The loss of these players led to losses in Boston and Ottawa. Their home opener was a success beating the LA Kings 3-2. The Stars struggle to keep the momentum going when entering and playing in the second period. Many of their losses have come from goals against them in the second period. There are many successful returning top scorers such as Roope Hintz, Tyler Seguin, Jason Robertson, and Joe Pavelski. A comfortable space. A place where students should be able to express themselves in whatever way makes them happy. A place where students should be able to be themselves without boundaries holding them back. Well this may be the case for many students here; it is not the case for all of them. Transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming students do not always feel comfortable being themselves here. While there are many supportive faculty and students here, who embrace name and pronoun changes in an attempt to make students feel the most comfortable, there are still many who do not recognize the impact this change will have on these students.
